Design a self-service help center people can use
Create clear, task-focused documentation that helps customers solve problems without opening a ticket.

Organize around customer tasks
Customers usually visit a help center because they want to finish something, not because they want to learn your internal product structure. Name articles after the task or problem they address. Start with common support questions and use the words customers use when describing them.
Keep answers short and complete
Explain the prerequisites, the steps to follow, and how to recognize a successful result. Include important limitations near the relevant step instead of hiding them at the bottom. Link to related guidance only when it helps the reader move forward; too many links can make a simple answer feel uncertain.
Assign an owner to each area and review documentation when the product changes. Search terms with no useful results and repeated support questions can reveal missing or confusing guidance. Offer a clear path to contact support when an article cannot resolve the issue.
